We work in favor of country: UML Chair Oli

At a programme organized by the UML Jhapa district committee at Birtamod in Jhapa on Sunday, Oli pledged that his party would not compromise on protecting and promoting sovereign rule, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Oli, also the former Prime Minister reiterated, "When it comes to protecting and promoting national interest, the UML never compromises with anything, anyone." During the event, over 5,000 cadres were welcomed in the party who had left the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) and other political parties. Appraising of the party's municipal general convention to be held on October 26, the septuagenarian party chief informed that ward level convention was held at 6,743 wards yesterday. Similarly, UML parliamentary party's deputy leader Subashchandra Nembang shared that there was a wave in the country where more and more cadres and leaders were entering into UML, disassociating themselves from their respective political parties. "Other political parties seem to be experiencing aftershock as more and more cadres and leaders were walking into our party," he remarked. Senior leader Lekhraj Bhatta said that they were committed to further unifying the party at national level and those new cadres of the party would not regret their decision of joining the new party.
